Pakistan vs Australia, World Cup 2011

Pakistan should win this match, the Aussie middle order apart from Clarke isn't scoring much, though Hussey's inclusion would strengthen their batting , especially considering his record against Pakistan in all forms of the game (He has scored 64, 35*, 29, 49, 67 and 40* in his 6 innings against Pakistan in ODIs). Pakistan has got very good spinners, Gul and Riaz (if shoaib doesn't play) are normally good at bowling at the death, so the match result depends on how we play in the first 15 overs of each innings.

Ahmed Shehzad should, and probably would, be dropped. Either Kamran Akmal or Asad Shafiq can open the innings (Shafiq used to open in first class cricket) with Hafeez. I'd like to see A. Razzaq up the order, he plays fast bowlers well and can play as a pinch hitter against Tait, Lee and Johnson.

The most important thing is how A. Razzaq bowls with the new ball and with whom. Gul looks to be in form and if Pakistan can get Haddin and Watson early, then they can restrict Australia to around 250 on a batting track, and can defend 260-270 runs if Pakistan bat first.

Wahab Riaz should stay in the team in Shoaib Akhtar's place, he bowls pretty well, can bat and is a good fielder.

PS: Powerplays weren't invented for sloggers, Younis Khan and Misbah can use them as well if they're settled at the crease.
